We are a diverse group of religious free-thinkers who gather to celebrate life, build community and better the world. We gather in worship to find meaning and live more deeply. Worship creates connections within, among, and beyond us, calling us to our better selves, calling us to live with wisdom and compassion. Many different reasons bring people to the door of UUCC. Maybe you want a place to heal a hurt, find new friends, celebrate the milestones of life, worship together with your interfaith family, get more involved with the community, or pursue spiritual questions without pressure. Chances are, you will find what you are seeking, but you will also find things you didn’t know you were looking for.

Unitarian Universalists believe that every person is sacred and and that there is an interdependent web of all existence. When one part of the web is torn or injured, all other parts are injured, and the web needs to be restored.
Unitarian Universalist Church of Canandaigua is committed to making the world a better place. Many social and environmental issues are intertwined. Our community is involved in a number of issues and our members actively participate in promoting social and environmental justice. As a group we have been involved in many causes.
We offer childcare and structured religious education for children (Kindergarten-8th grade) every Sunday from September to June. During the summer months, we offer childcare.
In our structured programming, children explore what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist through engaging and fun children’s worship, experiential learning, and a program designed around learning as a great adventure. Like the adults in worship, our children engage the monthly spiritual themes. Religious education programs include more than classes. Programs may incorporate social justice and community service activities, worship opportunities, or creating art to share with the congregation.
