Our Monthly Worship Themes
Our worship services revolve around core spiritual values celebrated by our Unitarian Universalist faith. Each month, we focus on one of these values as our monthly theme. Each theme is couched within the question: “What does it mean to live a life of ______?” This reflects our deep commitment to making sure worship is practice and makes a difference in our daily living.
Our theme for the summer months of July and August 2015 is ‘Living Interdependence’.
The themes for the 2015-2016 church year are:
“What does it mean to be a people of…”
- September: Invitation
- October: Letting Go
- November: Ancestry
- December: Expectation
- January: Resistance
- February: Desire
- March: Liberation
- April: Creation
- May: Blessing
- June: Hope
Soul Matters Offers a Chance to Go Deeper into the Monthly Themes
To explore our worship themes in more depth, we encourage all members and newcomers to join one of our Soul Matters small groups. These are spiritual discussion groups made up of 8-10 members who meet monthly to reflect on how the monthly theme is woven–or needs to be woven–into their daily loving and living. It’s a great source of intellectual stimulation, friendship and spiritual development. Contact Rev. Kaaren Anderson for more information: 585-271-9070, x106 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
